Anime nail art

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone had a great easter this year and you're enjoying the spring as much as I do.

Today I will show you an anime design that I absolutely love. BPS sent me this great plate to show you. I was soooo happy when I found this full anime portrait on it. I wish they would put out more anime plates that we can customize because they're so much fun!

The plate is BP32. You can find it and the other plates in the collection on www.bornprettystore.com

Is one of the most original and fun plates in my collection. I used 2 patterns from it for this design, the anime girl and the full heart pattern.

Polishes:

• Broadway Nails- "snow white"
• WNW megalast- "silver lake"
• Spoiled by WNW- "i have no reception"
• WNW wild shine- "hallucination"
• BPS stamping polish black
• BPS stamping polish white

I also used this set of 12 acrylic paints to color the pattern.

I made some step by step photos so here's the steps on getting this beauty colored.

1. Polish you nail with a light color. I used white
2. Stamp the pattern and clean anything you don't want.
3. Fill in the colors with acrylic paint or polish. You don't have to stay within the lines.When it dries up seal it with top coat on the stamper and let it dry.
4. Gently peel the stamp with tweezers and turn it face up to see the result.
5. Adjust it on the nail, cut the excess and seal with top coat.
6. Stamp the rest of the nails and seal.

For the rest of the nails I stampped the heart pattern in the traditional way. 

I like it so much. It's faster than it looks, especially if you have more stampers laying around. If you like anime art this plate is perfect to get your nail art to the next level.

Colorful easter nails

Hello everyone!

Even though I'm celebrating easter next week, since I live in USA I thought to do an easter mani anyway, so I came up with this colorful nail art design.

I used a stamping plate with fine details and a very soft stamping technique to make it look a little more faded.

I didn't want the design to pop up TOO much, so I used a thinner polish from LA colors, to stamp, instead of my stamping polish, The design is still visible, but not too striking.

Polishes used:

• Sally Hansen Triple Shine "Clam up" (base color)
• Kleancolor "Pastel purple"
• Kleancolor "Pastel pink"
• Kleancolor "Pastel yellow"
• Kleancolor "Pastel blue"
• Broadway nails high shine top coat

I used a sponge to dab random spots on my nails for the colorful effect. I tried to make it looked like colorful cracked shell, I think it came out pretty good.

I stamped the floral pattern over it and sealed it with top coat. Wait until it's completely dry until doing that, because some top coats tend to smear the design, especially the ones that are for glossy looks.

For the accent nails I used the wheel of studs from bornprettystore.com that I can honestly cannot find anymore.

The ones I used were the pink squares and round metallic studs.

The plate I used for the design is plate BP 17 from BPS.

Spring flowers (advanced stamping)

Hello everyone!

Today I'll be showing you a mani I've done few days ago using a plate I already posted about 3 posts ago, using it just in its simple way. The plate is BP 53 you can find it here.

I couldn't help but turn the pattern on this plate a little bit, and do a reversed stamping instead. The pattern asked for color!

For the base colors I used:

• Sally Hansen triple shine "Clam up" for the stampped nails
• Kleancolor "pastel purple"
• Sally Hansen Xtreme "Pixel perfect"

For the reversed stamping I used the acrylic paints and brush set from bornprettystore.com

The process went exactly like in my last post that contains a step by step video.

Stamp the pattern with black polish. Keep it on the stamper and paint within the lines with acrylic paints.

When the paint is dry, apply a generous amount of top coat over it and let it dry completely.

Peel it off using a pair of tweezers and apply it on the nail like a sticker.

You can clean the excess with a file on the free edge, and use acetone around the nail and the cuticle.

Apply another layer of top coat over it and ta daaa.

It's a super fun way to throw your nail art at the next level.

Starry design reversed stamping with BP49

Hello everyone!

Today I had to come in with more spring colors and I did a super fun reversed (advanced) stamping using one of the new www.bornprettystore.com plates BP49.

I picked this particular plate for my  nail art design because it's so bold. The lines on it come out perfect everytime which makes it super easy to fill it on with color. There's nothing abstract about it, so you can go crazy with the coloring.

It features a full round pattern, with any spot being able to be used at will.

For my design I picked an area and removed whatever I didn't want with a cotton swab dipped in acetone.

I used acrylic paints that I purchased from here . You can also use polish but I wanted the precision I can get with a detail brush.

Super sparkly musical nails

Hello everyone!

Even though everyone switched to pastels, greens and flowers, I was still in the mood for icy blue this week, since it's still cold around here, so I came up with this super fun and easy to do musical design.

Star of the week is a new stamping plate from bornprettystore.com combined with lots and lots of different glitter.

The stamping plate is number BP-47 and you can find it here for $2.99. It features 8 patterns with music notes, Michael Jackson, piano keys and other music related stuff for music lovers.

The details on the images are the best quality like bps already got us used to with all their new stamping plates. I had no trouble picking them up. I used my new Born pretty stamping polishes that I finally received in the mail. I'm still getting used to them and I will have an upcoming review for all the colors soon.

If you are new to stamping plates, this one like every one I got so far come with a blue plastic film over them, that needs to be peeled off before use. I have seen recently someone who couldnt stamp asking for advice who shared a photo of their plate with the film still on, on facebook. Again, peel that off.

I used my XL squishy stamper with this plate, and I found it a little difficult to keep the lines straight by rolling it, so my advice for the music notes is to press them straight down on the nail and not roll them.

Now for my background setting I used the following polishes:

• NYC - Empire state blue (base color)
• Milani - gold glitz (accent nail)
• Broadway Nails- Paradise water
• Color concept - blue glitter that I found at DG

I used the white and black stamping polishes from the BP stamping polish collection.

I believe this plate to be perfect for beginners because it transfers so easy or for those who want a quick eye catching nail art design.
