Easy stamping with a new plate

Hello everyone!

First of all I want to let everyone know that I opened a donation page for my family. If you want to read our story and help by spreading the word or with a donation I would be forever grateful.

Our story

Back on the topic. I received a wonderful plate with full nail designs from bornprettystore.com that I got my hands on during a seckill a while back.

Plate BPL-005 is about 12.5 on 6.5cm and features 21 full patterns. They have more styles available, but for the following nail design I used one of the floral patterns on this plate.

As a side note, Born Pretty Store released a bunch of new plates available for 99 cents until January 20th you can find them here http://www.bornprettystore.com/show.php?filter=new_arrivals&cid=652

If you want it you can use code DALK31 for a 10% site wide discount and free shipping.

Pros:

  • The plate is 5.99 not discounted which is not bad for 21 designs in one shot. BPS has many discount days so you can get it even half the price.
  • The images are extremelly crisp. I don't have any special stamping polish and have to use thickened polish to stamp but the images come out clear and detailed.
  • It has a pink plastic back that goes around the edges. If you have many stamping plates you know many of them are razor sharp and easy to cut with. This one is completely safe.
Cons:
  • I would have loved if the plate was a little bigger so it could handle bigger patterns.
  • This plate is not made for long nails. My nails are medium and pretty narrow, but my thumb nails couldn't be covered completely. The patterns are a little short even for medium lenght nails.

This particular design was super easy to make. The polishes I used are:
  • Sally Hansen Insta dry- Black to black
  • Pure Ice - don't you wish.
I used black as base color and 1 layer of pure ice. After they completely dry I stamped one of the floral patterns on all nails and coated with another layer of pure ice.

I added 2mm rhinestones from BPS in the middle of the flowers and sealed with top coat.

I wouldn't call it a 5 minutes manicure because of the waitting time but is overall newbie friendly.

The stamper I used is the XL squishy stamper from BPS and the polish I used for stamping is Wet'n'Wild megalast "whipped topping".

These days I also received a necklace that I'm crazyyyyyyy about. I will have to review it later togheter with a lot of jewelry that I odered. You can find this necklace here in a lot of variations, but I promise you it's amazing.

Gothic new year nail design

Hello everyone!

Today I'll show you my nails I've done for new years eve and my birthday. Since I've decided to get another piercing done as a bday present, I guess why not badass metal nails to go with it.

These nails symbolise pretty much a drastical change I want to do to my life. Strong girls need a strong attitude to go with it, so here I come 2015 and a quarter century of life!

Polishes:

  • Broadway nails- Sexy Lillian
  • Broadway nails- Hot& Sexy
  • Sally Hansen hard as nails- Black
Materials:
I've started with a vampire red base color and black on the accent nail. I applied one coat of red glitter polish over the red base.

On all my nails except the black one I stamped one of the lace patterns from the BS02 plate linked above. As always I used my squishy stamper and the polish I used for stamping is the black from the Hard as Nails series from Sally Hansen.

I sealed wiith UV top coat and before curing I applied the studs and rhinestones.

Pretty easy just annoying to place the studs perfect. They slide so easy and I needed to cure each nail before going on the next so they won't change position.

Oh and in case you're wondering bout those bold awsome set of rings I'm wearing, I got them in a 1 cent seckill from BPS. Right now they're $2.99 for a set of 5 in gold or silver.

You can use code DILIC10 for 10%  discount at checkout.

Hope you enjoyed and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Dangly holiday designs x2

Hello everyone!

This time I come to you with 2 designs for 2 reasons. Was running low on baby pearls, gotta restork asap, and I couldn't decide on just one anyway. And since I'm weird enough , why not?

Anyway here are the polishes and the other mats I used to create both of these manis:

For both I used same polishes:

  • LA colors art deco- 24k glitter
  • LA colors art deco- black
  • Kleancolor- pastel orange
  • UV top coat

Mani nr1
Painted my nails pastel orange and then painted them black leaving the half circle close to my cuticles. I outlined the half circle with gold glitter polish and in the center I put a 1.5mm round rhinestone surrounded by 4 white half pearls. In between the pearls I added gold caviar beads, making it longer on the bottom pearl to make it look like a chain. I then 'hooked' a tear drop rhinestone. It's pretty much like a cross. To finish I sealed with uv top coat.

Mani nr2

Painted my nails the same way as on the other hand. I applied a metal stud close to my cuticle and surrounded it with caviar beads. Under it I placed a 1.5mm round rhinestone and repeated the process. I connected them with caviar beads and added the tear drop rhinestone like in the other design.

They're overall easy designs. I picked everything up with a marbling tool, the caviar beads are a little bit more time consuming.

Christmas is coming soon so I already got in the mood for holiday nails, that's what I mostly had in mind when I done them.

For the producs linked above from born pretty store, you can use code DILIC10 for 10% discount.

Halloween glittery goo nail art

Hello everyone!

Here's a very easy design that I will be wearing for halloween this year, a neon green and black dripping design, with a little touch of glitter.

Here's the polishes and other materials I used to create this design;

Steps

  • After base coat paint 2 thin layers of neon green polish.
  • Coat it with a layer of fine glitter polish. For this I used Hallucination from WNW.
  • When completely dry, start painting the drips and fill in the black space, leaving the drips green. I used a fine nail art brush from born pretty store and the black acrylic paint from their kit that are linked above.
  • I sealed everything in high shine top coat from broadway nails. Notice only the green drips will stay shiny.
  • Using the polish brush from the matte top coat from BPS, gently go over the black space to take the shine off.
Easy and effective. Might need a little control of shakyness when going over with the matte top coat. I found that particulary hard when trying with my non dominant hand.

Also don't forget to head over to born pretty store for their crazy anniversary sale where everything is up to 80% off and check out their new plates before they end up sold out.
